Home Improvement Events & Community

Join our workshops, project showcases, and educational events designed for homeowners passionate about quality home improvements

Connecting Homeowners Through Shared Experiences

Since starting Sarah's Home Journey in 2009, I've learned that the best home improvement education comes from connecting with others who've walked the same path. Our events bring together homeowners, share real project experiences, and create a supportive community around quality home improvements.

Educational Workshops

Monthly workshops covering everything from understanding window energy ratings to evaluating contractor proposals. Learn from real experiences and ask questions in a friendly, judgment-free environment.

Next Workshop: Understanding Window Installation Quality Standards
When: Third Saturday monthly, 10am-12pm

Project Showcase Events

Quarterly showcases where homeowners share before-and-after project results, discuss what went well, and candidly review the challenges they encountered. These real stories help others avoid common pitfalls.

Next Showcase: Spring Window & Door Replacement Projects
When: First Saturday of March, June, September, December

Contractor Meet & Greets

Semi-annual events where quality contractors demonstrate their work, explain their processes, and answer homeowner questions. A no-pressure way to evaluate potential service providers for your projects.

Why I Started These Events

When I began my own window replacement project years ago, I felt overwhelmed and isolated. The information available online was either too technical or too marketing-focused. I wished for a place where homeowners could share honest experiences without sales pressure.

That's why I created these community events. They're designed to fill the gap I experienced—providing practical, honest guidance based on real projects and genuine contractor experiences. No sales pitches, just helpful information from fellow homeowners who've been there.

Our community has grown to include homeowners at every stage of their journey, from research phase to post-project evaluation. Everyone brings valuable perspective that helps others make better decisions.

Virtual Event Series

Can't attend in person? Join our monthly virtual sessions where I share project updates, answer questions live, and connect with homeowners nationwide. Every session is recorded and available to community members.
